Macharia Njeru is a Senior Advocate and lawyer of the High Court of Kenya with extensive experience in legal practice in Kenya and the wider East African Region. He is also a Notary Public, Commissioner for Oaths, and a Certified Public Secretary. Macharia began his career as a litigator, handling high-profile cases, and later specialized in corporate law and conveyancing. His areas of expertise include banking and financial services, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, property law, consulting, the setup of startups, restructuring of companies, corporate governance, and general commercial advice.
Mr. Njeru has also played a significant role in national legal reforms. He was a key member of the task force on police reforms of the National Police Service and served as the Team Leader responsible for developing legislation to restructure the National Police Service in line with Kenya’s new Constitution. He has also served as the Chairman to the Board of the Independent Policing Oversight Authority and as a Vice Chair to Judicial Service Commision. His extensive experience and leadership in both corporate law and public service make him a distinguished and influential figure in the legal field.
